River Retreat Apartment Exeter is hosted by the Sean and Samina Ferris. Ever since we moved here, we had one goal in mind: to share this magical location with others and to offer our guests comfortable, affordable and all around exceptional accommodation.

The apartment forms the lower part of our family home so, as hosts, we are in close proximity should you need anything. We have lived in the area for 20 years so have a wealth of knowledge to help you make the most of your stay in this beautiful location.

Countess Wear village is an historic village of thatched cottages and narrow streets and has a unique setting on the edge of the river Exe.

It is a quiet beauty spot where nature is in abundance. Swans and ducks are just some of the residents visible from the property along with cattle, herons and many other birds as RSPB Matford Marshes is within walking distance.

There is a friendly local pub serving food only 120m from the front door!
